Lift the Burden was pleased to be invited to speak on the Simi Sara Show on CKNW AM980 recently. 

Vice President Chuck Mercier talked about how pardons are an important tool in rehabilitation and how the government can help Canadians get back on track. 

Chuck Mercier, Vice President of Pardon Services Canada and a team lead in our Lift the Burden campaign helped raise awareness of the Lift the Burden campaign on the Simi Sara Show recently. 

One in eight Canadians have a criminal record which holds them back in employment, travel and volunteering. Mercier spoke about how pardons, now called Record Suspensions, have become more inaccessible and the effect that this has on Canadians hoping to get their lives back on track.
